Each year, the Kadanoff Center conducts a search for new Postdoctoral Fellows. Candidates across all subfields of theoretical physics are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will interact with members of the Enrico Fermi Institute and the James Frank Institute, whose research interests include string theory, particle physics, and condensed matter physics. Faculty members of the Center include J. Harvey, W. Kang, D. Kutasov, M. Levin, P. Littlewood, E. Martinec, D. T. Son, R. Wald, and P. Wiegmann. Fellows will thus have the opportunity to engage in a broad variety of research activities. Interested persons may apply through Academic Jobs Online.
In addition to these postdoctoral positions, the Enrico Fermi Institute awards the Fermi/McCormick Fellowships on the basis of a competition across all the disciplines which it subsumes. These fellowships are separate from our regular postdoctoral positions and must be applied for separately. More information about the Fermi/McCormick fellowships and how to apply may be found here.
The University of Chicago is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. It also participates in the Exchange Visitor Program and will facilitate the granting of visas to international applicants.
