Bootstrapping equilibrium and nonequilibrium quantum systems.

We discuss how a bootstrap approach based on the positivity of density matrices together with additional defining properties of interest provides a unified framework for studying both equilibrium and nonequilibrium quantum systems. For thermal equilibrium, we implement the energy-entropy balance inequality and the KMS condition to constrain one-point functions and Euclidean two-point functions, respectively. For nonequilibrium Lindblad dynamics, we impose stationarity conditions to study steady-state properties and, in special cases, derive bounds on the Liouvillian gap. Our two main examples are matrix quantum mechanics and quantum spin chains.
